Message From the Owner

Hello, Hallo, Hola, Bonjour, Ciao, and Nameste,

My name is Jason Reschka, Owner of Boulder Tea Shop LLC. I’m a very easy going laid back Boulderite, living my dream as a business owner and community member. I thrive on building relationships with the people that love tea and this amazing place of Boulder, Colorado.

My tea journey started around the end of high school. I was not much of a tea or coffee drinker at the time, I was just beginning to explore the varieties, and my tastes were not refined. Like most tea drinkers that I have encountered, I started with Celestial Seasonings, Lipton, and some other generic names that you might find in a supermarket.

At the time, I was living in Pennsylvania. Little did I know that one day I would be living in my paradise of Boulder. I don’t think it was coincidence that my first tea came from the very place I know and love today. I don’t like to believe in coincidences, so my only conclusion is that it was meant to be.

At the beginning, I had a sweet tooth. I only really drank the fruity herbal teas, because those were the sweetest. Unfortunately these were tightly packed into tea bags, not allowing for the proper infusion. Little did I know that loose-leaf tea quality would be such a step up from what I was used to.

From time to time I would quit drinking coffee for a better alternative in tea. I would have issues with the enhanced jolt of caffeine, as well as the subsequent crash. Good thing the caffeine in tea is time released and the jolty feeling is reduced by the l-theanine enzyme that will give your mind a relaxed calming feeling. Some have atuned a fine tea as making them high in spirit, awareness, and physicality.  This is something that truly happened in my heart.

When I arrived in Boulder, I noticed that there were a lot of people interested in tea, but not a great outlet for them to enhance their tea journey. Yes, we have some great places to go in Boulder for tea, but they cater less towards the people and lifestyle of the town, and more to the people looking to sit down for a meal.  I wanted something that everyone could enjoy.  It is all about the experience and ritual to me.  If you find tea as more than just a drink, this is the community for you.

This is why I chose to sell my tea. I care about our community and wish to contribute in any way I can. I love tea and would be happy to meet and make a free cup for anyone interested in expanding their knowledge and exploring new varieties. I am offering this tea because I wholeheartedly believe in my product. I love tea and would never sell you anything close to inferior. Tea to me is the Holy Grail, the Buddha, the Mother Earth. It is a delicacy, is super healthy, and has always kept me going.

Everyones lives would be insanely enhanced if each of us just drank an extra cup a day.  I hope to see you as part of our tea tribe!
